Helena González is a Barcelona-born cinematographer based in London, with a deep passion for storytelling and visual artistry. Growing up with painter parents, she cultivated her creative vision early, often traveling Europe with a video camera in hand. Helena pursued a postgraduate degree in Cinematography at ECIB, where her short Lacrimosa represented Spain at the IMAGO 2019 awards.

Graduating from the prestigious NFTS MA Cinematography program in 2023, Helena specializes in fiction, documentaries, and commercials. Known for her poetic, emotion-driven imagery, she blends subtle stylization with a minimalist visual style, often exploring atmospheric environments and nuanced characters. Her love for contrast, texture, and painting influences shines in her lighting and framing, creating evocative and emotionally resonant visuals. Helena’s work has been showcased at festivals like Camerimage, HollyShorts, Rhode Island, Aesthetica and many more festivals.
